How to find and check a transaction hash

A transaction hash identifies a blockchain transaction. It helps you look up the transfer without signing in to someone else's wallet.

Open the transaction details in your genuine wallet or provider account. Look for a transaction ID, hash or explorer link. Record the network as well as the identifier. A provider's internal reference may not be a blockchain hash.

Use an explorer for the correct network, reached through trusted documentation. Check the displayed destination, asset, amount and status. A matching blockchain record and an exchange account balance answer different questions, so ask the receiving provider about crediting requirements when needed.

Do not connect a wallet or enter a recovery phrase merely to read a public transaction. Public addresses and hashes can reveal financial activity, so share only what is relevant.
