Wallets and exchange accounts: who controls access?

Start by finding out who holds the private keys. A familiar app screen does not tell you whether it is a self-custody wallet or a provider account.

What to check

With a provider account, access depends on the service and its account processes. With self-custody, your own keys and backups matter. Neither model removes the need for careful security.

A sensible next step

For a login problem, use the genuine provider help route. For a wallet problem, identify the wallet software and follow its own documentation. Do not hand a helper control of either account.
